Wellz, they had to enter conference hall 602 and boy was it huge. There were 2 counters... one whom the guys would give their papers to for verification. Roland wondered as to why they had to keep the photographs, hey their gonna have like thousands of pics and nowhere to put 'em. Anyway, Roland and friend(Nadia) proceeded on to the next counter where everything was given to them. Data was typed in the system and then only the white piece of paper congratulating them on getting into the first round with the reference number was returned. If this was only the first audition where they only had to sing in front of the producers and this congratulatory piece of paper can be obtained just via applying online, what's the use of congratulating?
Was it to make the contestants feel, like they achieved something? Wonder upon wonder. The lady over at the counter after handing back that stupid piece of paper to ROland, told him to "freshen up."
"I'm wet, hungry, thirsty, tired, and your telling me to freshen up?" He thought. What a load of bull. The main problem here was that after standing in the rain, all he wanted was to feel warm, but in that Alasken environment, forget it! Another queue ensued. This time they had to wait for the organisers to distribute the numbers to the contestants according to their reference number.
Another long long wait. Another "bursting at the seams" occasion for Roland followed. Finally, after like eternity, Both Nadia and Roland made it to the front. Would they be ready to face the producers soon?
Gurmit Singh and crew approached and wanted to make some prelude to the singapore idol thingy by getting the contestants to scream some lyrics and Singapore IDOL! Hell, Roland couldn't care less, all he wanted was warmth and some release. Finally, after eternity plus plus,
the contestants got to get up. Where were they going? Third floor? to start auditioning? Down they went, meeting lots of fans too. However, another long wait was to come.
