Hello people, Well to further elaborate on the above heading, here's what happened...
1) Just 2 weeks ago, when i was riding my new bike, the left pedal dropped of and i had to walk from GongShang Primary school home.
Lesson Learnt: No small problem should be left alone. Every problem starts small, and will always lead to a bigger problem. When the pedals had started to become loose in the first place, I should have brought the bike immediately to the shop to have it tightened.
2) On saturday, i parked my new bike at the railings near the junction between UOB building and Century Square. It got stolen in broad daylight, chains cut, left hanging on the railing.
Lessons Learnt: In Singapore, there are a hell lots of pathetic souls who lack self-control, but excel in covetousness. They resort to stealing things that do not belong to them to satisfy their desires. GOd help these people, for if they are capable to doing such things, it will escalate whereby they will be more daring to perform much larger tasks, such as robbing and murder. Ultimately in time, if they do not repent and continue in this path, their future would be ruined. Pity these souls.
Just to add on, when something bad happens and you tell it to "friends", there are those who would comfort you, and there are those who would condemn you, saying "you asked for it". TO the latter, I'd say, GET LOST, YOU AIN't WORTH BEING A FRIEND, IN FACT YOU AIN't WORTH BEING IN THE SAME FREAKING ROOM AS ME YOU HYPOCRITES!"
3) I was sent by a HR company to sit for an interview regarding a job opening. THe HR manager told me that though it was a computer operator's job, some system administration was involved, some development would also be needed, that they were interested in hiring someone in the long term. HOwever, on the way there, the HR manager called me up and told me not to tell the interviewers that i would like to be involved in system administration, or program development. This seemed weird as these were what i had expected in the first place. I took the interview and in the end blew it all out the window.
Lessons Learnt: It wasn't a complete waste of time. I had the chance to further sharpen my interview skills of which i so lack, and with this interview, i have further determined my goals and career path.
4) Was cycling my bike to work this afternoon and it so happened that as i was passing the retirement home that the back wheel of my bike got punctured, became flat, and i had to push the bike from there to the MRT where i parked it.
Lessons Learnt: As in lesson 1, never put anything that you can do today till tomorrow. If the wheels of the bike looked as if they would burst any second, have them fixed ASAP.
5) I lost my Oakley sunglasses.
Lesson Learnt: Never put anything in the side pockets of my orange bag cause the nettings are loose. That pocket was the same pocket i lost my Siemens handphone, opps correction, stolen at Bugis.
6) As i was preparing to backup my Dance music MP3s, i tried saving the old ones from CD to harddisk so that i could update my collection. It so happened that the CD encountered a cyclic redundancy check. In other words, byebye Mp3's
Lesson Learnt: Not everything that's Sony is good.
7) The Crystal Method would be coming to singapore on the 25th of June. Place of performance, Centro Discotheque at One Fullerton. Unfortunately, i would be doing the 3rd shift which would encompass the time of 11 p.m. to the next morning 7 a.m.
Lesson Learnt: I don't have to waste money going down to that ah beng haunt. Anyway the two guys wouldn't give a second thought as to how much you've sacrificed to go down and watch them perform for only one night.
