Wireless Connectivity

Hmm the time is 229 am. What the hell am i up so late for?? Well to tell the truth, i kinda missed blogging. So decided to stay up sooooo late just to write one. Bah! Lying here again. The sweet truth is, i had my first final theory lesson today at UBi. yah yah yah.. now then take ah? At least i'm doing it right?
Anyway, after my lessons, decided to go for japanese food at tampines mall. Hey, i really deprived here. Couldn't find a japanese stall at Cecil street or lau pa sat. There i was eating my yummy Katsudon, when i thought,"Hey, i should get a backpack for my laptop. Wouldn't wanna go around using those executive bags ( of which i have). THey look like, so uncool."
Went over to Challenger, and spent the next couple of agonizing minutes trying to pick out a bag i like, colour, zippers, functionality etc. FInally settled on one that was rather clean-cut. Went around and found out they were selling wireless routers at 75 bucks. SMC brand. Plus free wireless card. Hey, not an offer to be missed! SO i grabbed one and in the process, became an honourary member of Challenger.
Hmm... didn't look too difficult. The setup had a disk for each, the card and router. Never did i expect that it wasn't that simple. It took me 6 bluddy hours just to find out the cause and root of connectivity problem between the router and the card, and my PC and my brother's PC. HEll, given a computer novice, he'd bring the whole damn equipment back to challenger and proclaim it to be faulty! No wonder they made it so cheap, cause it was so un-user friendly! Oh yeah, Bro's PC couldn't run the virusscan, wanted to install it, and discovered it wasn't around. It was at his friend's place. Sigh. That's the reason why i don't like to lend him things. Cause they don't come back on their own.
Anyway, coming back to the configuration,it was such a terrible experience. Couldn't they have made the setup much more simpler? In fact, i had to read the manuals line by line before i could understand what they were talking about and after which i proceeded to perform trial and error troubleshooting.
Finally, i find myself typing out this blog on my laptop, wirelessly mind you... a sense of achievement filling my soul. Bluddy Tyron said he wanted to meet for dinner yet he never called. Lucky me. Otherwise, wouldn't have time to configure my router.

The First day of work in the year 2005

Yup, its 1745 Hrs now, and i'm still in office. The official work hours now spans from 0830 hrs to 1800 hrs. Yuckz. Oh well, that means to say , Sats are off duty.

Dream onz. Some departments need to work on SAts still. So that means, a skeleton crew gotta be around to party as well. Damnz..

Hey, so why am i writing this blog when i should be working? Cause the sup and the Lao Da isn't around. Gotta change my off in-lieu as as well cause though i get to work this Sat, i have to use my off day within 2 weeks from the duty, and my advance theory is like 3 weeks away?

Oh well, so long long weekend. Hello work on a hari raya Sat. Wonder when i 'd ever get the chance to enjoy another super long weekend. Maybe never for this year.

Yuckz. 1751 hrs. My minutes isn't getting anywhere too. Minutes as in meeting minutes... Crapz lousy recorder couldn't record the whole meeting. ENded up having to listen to half sentences. How am i gonna finish it????!? If i knew, i'd have written down the stuff they said. Panic mode is on now. PANIC PANIC!!!!

Peace, peace. I need peace. So long for now. another agonizing 7 minutes to go.

The next chapter of my life

Its been one heck of a year. So many things have happened in 2004 that i can't think of where to begin. This was:-
the year i resigned from my first job
the year i started going back to the gym in March with Endy
the year i spent the most time in hospital because of IBS
the year i had the chance to go for free sauna at Haach
the year i started my blog
the year i started going back to clubs in a long time
the year that i made new friends in Fandy, Justin, Keng Hoong
the year one of my friends got admitted to psychiatric treatment at Mount E
the year i met IRY
the year i changed my hairstyle
the year i bought my bed, showcase, bookcase, LCD screen, laptop, handphone, digital camera
the year i joined the first singapore idol and had to wait from the previous night to the next afternoon just to sing 1 minute
the year i went back for my first reservist at SAFTI
the year i went to KL, Hong Kong, Phuket
the year Tyron and Jaslyne got their kid, (my godson by the way)
the year i had to start wearing bands for my braces
the year i went to Equinox
the year i went horse riding in Johor, malaysia

I'm pretty sure thats not everything, only the ones that stood out the most, or the ones that i can remember at this present moment. I'm hoping that for the year 2005, a whole new era would begin for me, where i will learn to live life to its fullest. I wish that 2005 would be the year that doors will be opened, new experiences will be .. experienced. New places to see, new people to meet, a great year, full of joy, hope and peace. So shall it be. Amen.
