Wireless Connectivity

Hmm the time is 229 am. What the hell am i up so late for?? Well to tell the truth, i kinda missed blogging. So decided to stay up sooooo late just to write one. Bah! Lying here again. The sweet truth is, i had my first final theory lesson today at UBi. yah yah yah.. now then take ah? At least i'm doing it right?
Anyway, after my lessons, decided to go for japanese food at tampines mall. Hey, i really deprived here. Couldn't find a japanese stall at Cecil street or lau pa sat. There i was eating my yummy Katsudon, when i thought,"Hey, i should get a backpack for my laptop. Wouldn't wanna go around using those executive bags ( of which i have). THey look like, so uncool."
Went over to Challenger, and spent the next couple of agonizing minutes trying to pick out a bag i like, colour, zippers, functionality etc. FInally settled on one that was rather clean-cut. Went around and found out they were selling wireless routers at 75 bucks. SMC brand. Plus free wireless card. Hey, not an offer to be missed! SO i grabbed one and in the process, became an honourary member of Challenger.
Hmm... didn't look too difficult. The setup had a disk for each, the card and router. Never did i expect that it wasn't that simple. It took me 6 bluddy hours just to find out the cause and root of connectivity problem between the router and the card, and my PC and my brother's PC. HEll, given a computer novice, he'd bring the whole damn equipment back to challenger and proclaim it to be faulty! No wonder they made it so cheap, cause it was so un-user friendly! Oh yeah, Bro's PC couldn't run the virusscan, wanted to install it, and discovered it wasn't around. It was at his friend's place. Sigh. That's the reason why i don't like to lend him things. Cause they don't come back on their own.
Anyway, coming back to the configuration,it was such a terrible experience. Couldn't they have made the setup much more simpler? In fact, i had to read the manuals line by line before i could understand what they were talking about and after which i proceeded to perform trial and error troubleshooting.
Finally, i find myself typing out this blog on my laptop, wirelessly mind you... a sense of achievement filling my soul. Bluddy Tyron said he wanted to meet for dinner yet he never called. Lucky me. Otherwise, wouldn't have time to configure my router.
