After service

Hmm.. just got home from a cold lonely dinner after church service. Oh well, at least i got to spend sometime alone with me, myself and I. Got a call from Chungui this morning that i have to be prepared by 9 a.m at his place, wearing a suite. Ok.. fortunately for me i still have the one left over from Tyron's wedding. Hmm hopefully when we go grab his bride we won't be subjected to eating any hot or spicy stuff. Otherwise i wouldn't need to be an usher, i'd be the one who'd be ushered to the toilet.

Haven't been back to Cornerstone for quite a while. Wonder howz things back there. Still i feel that having arrived here at New Creation, i seemed to have learned more. Ok so i do occasionally sleep during service, but then 70% of the time i'm still awake. Even though i do miss the family atmosphere of cell group at Cornerstone, i kinda realise that Prince's messages and teachings are inspiring and full of wisdom. He has that ability to capture the audience attention and convey the most complicated messages to the masses in a simple way.

Not that i'm saying TY's preaching isn't good.. its just too... pushy, i think. Its kinda like 2 different worlds come to think of it. I simply enjoy Prince's messages, and feel that he is truly inspired by the Word. I'm not making any forms of comparisons between the two pastors. I mean, both of them have a calling, just that i guess each one serves to teach different types of congregations.

In the book of Revelations, Prince explained that the mark of the beast, which is the number of man, was found at two different sources of those that serve the serpent; the forehead and the right arm. why is it the number of a man?

Everyone in the this has some form of self worth. In this world, he prides himself on what he has, and what he achieved. His material goods form the basis of who he is in this so called 'civilised society'. If you do not have material wealth or riches, you are poor. You cannot eat, drink and enjoy the simple pleasures that this world can provide.

Of course, all these things do not count as evil. In fact, i believe that God wants us to have all these things, riches, wealth, prosperity, to establish the reason that He loves us, blesses us, and wants us to enjoy His riches and glory. However, the root by which these things are obtained need to be looked upon.

Where the number of the beast is found says alot of things. True, it may literally mean what it says in the bible, that physically, men and women may have a mark on their foreheads or right hand, to show that they are worshippers of the Illuminated one, but the significance may prove to be more than that.

The forehead represents intelligence and the arm represents effort. Man, in wanting to build his so-called footing in society, to seem important, places his trust in his brains and his actions. He thinks that, with intelligence, knowledge and actions, all that he has achieved would create his self worth. He believes that with these factors, he can obtain life's pleasures and depend on no one but himself.

This signifies a life without God. A life of independence from God's blessing and covering. A life totally cut off from His protection, His love. People talk about the burning coals and lakes of fire that await them when they die a sinful death, but these aren't the things describes how hell truly is. True hell is life without God, about independence from Him, and that place seems to be a reality on earth for many souls.
