Sound Garden
Its not that this is a comprain blog for me, but somehow, a blog is a blog, and thoughts, ideas, etc are always featured on a blog. So here i go.
F&#*!!!! I really really hate the service of food retailers here in Singapore. WHy??
Well, today i had lunch with my parents. We decided to go central cause i actually wanted to go get a CPU fan for my system as the present one has gone over to the over side. We alighted at the bus stop near the library, and proceeded to go to a coffeeshop situated next to S11. There i decided to get some mee goreng, with no chilli. Ordered, even heard the fella say mee goreng, no chilli.
Of course when i received the mee goreng, there wasn't supposed to have any chilli in it. But lo and behold, the very second it touched my tongue, i felt spices running amok on my organ. F^&&#@!
When, he came back with my change, my mum asked him if the mee goreng had chilli in it. He replied without looking back," Put a bit". Freaking shit!
When my mum tasted it, she told me, it wasn't a bit of chilli, but a significant amount for her to deduce it to be quite a lot. NA%&$! I can still roughly remember the shop name, something ".. Ali Food Corner", and the indian fella, about 175 to 180 cm. What lousy attitude!!! He'd rather sacrifice customer satisfaction and loyalty then profit. You can bet i won't be eating from that stall again. In fact, my mum actually said that the mee goreng was too salty, and not appetising at all. Thats IT! NO MORE PATRONIZING THAT STALL! Lousy food, lousy attitude. Money down the drain!
This bring to mind a certain experience that i have written about in my previous blogs. Yah, about the Poh Piah experience. Wah Liao! I should have challenged the lady!!
Anyway back to my PC. the bluddy fan spoil, so i went to challenger to look for a CPU fan. Oh yeah i forgot, challenger didn't sell parts, they sold peripherals. So off i went to my nearby computer shop, and got a CPU fan for 50 bucks. Got home and fixed it up, plus a few other tweaks here and there.
Decided to plug in my frontal USB ports, but funny thing is, when i connect any device to the frontal USB ports, all my other USB devices fail to work. ALAMAK! So in the end decided not to continue loh...
But was 50% successful in another configuration. Decided to add my bluetooth device as a headset for my PC. After some testing, it finally worked. I could listen to my mp3's via my bluetooth device. HAHA. However, the mike could not work and searched high and low for a solution to to no avail. The Creative soundcard failed me too later in the evening, when suddenly, DirectSound error occured. What the hell.
In the end, decided to use the onboard sound device. What did i find!? The onboard sound card sounds better!!! Hmm another disappointment in Creative's goods. The other was my CD-Mp3 player, which caused problems after 6 months when the battery compartment gave problems. NOw i can only use the player if an external power adapter is connected. Bluddy hell.

Auntie ah!! There is one thing that constantly irritates me, a little. Let me explain. I get on the MRT, suddenly, from out of nowhere, i hear a sharp, high pitched voice screaming into a little gadget exclaiming in incomprehensible hokkien.
Yah yah yah, the whole world knows that you've got a nifty little handphone where you can gossip with your friends. Please stop shouting into your phone... We wouldn't want to hear all your dirty linens exposed to the public...
Maybe cause they think that some invisible phone line is connected to their phone and that if they didn't shout into it their voices wouldn't get transferred to the other side..
Hey, wait a minute, maybe they were wearing hearing aids but couldn't wear those aids while they were using the phone. Logical thinking triumphs again.
Well, just had a basketball game at tanjong pagar CC. Always good to exercise, better to get a tan. But then i ain't tan, i'm red, red like lobster, red like a Hong Bao, red like Daredevil's costume.
Dropped down to Far East Plaza for a while to help a colleague to pick out a bikini which was like 90% impossible to find? The shop down there was like, cramped with bikinis and night dresses, and having three guys looking at bikinis in a bikini shop with girls coming in and out felt a little out of place... don't you think?
Finally, my colleague decided on one piece that was quite nice, plain and simplistic but attractive and stylish. Finally. Very distracting in there. Had to get out ASAP.
Anyway, tried looking for a sling bag for IR. SO many!! Horizontally, vertically, canvas, leather... don't know which to choose! Stress! =p

Wait Wait Wait I got one thing to complain, (yeah as usual, complain) and it concerns my driving lessons.
Recently, i just passed my Advanced Theory in Febuary, without taking any practical lessons, hahahahaha, and decided to do some practical bookings online.
First obstacle, the system did not add the option for me to book lessons as they did not give me the access to book the cars. At first i thought it was the browser problem, until i tried Netscape as well and discovered, it wasn't my PCs' problem. Damn. Sent an email to them and they replied after like a week or so. "Oh so sorry, let me add that function for you".
THank You very much. "FINALLy, i got to be able to book a date" i thought.
WRONG!
Every single date from Febuary to end of March, was booked. No slots available. What the *##%!
It wasn't until a few week later when i tried my luck was i successful in booking 1 lesson. 1 freaking lesson. I thought, "Ok, since they put in 2 months for booking, the most probable time for me to start looking back at the website would be the end of April... WRONG
Just went in today and discovered, that from today till the end of June, every slot was filled. What the HELL!! I paid the same membership fee, will pay the same amount for each lesson, and what do i get??!? Not one freaking day for me to book a practical lesson.
I feel so pissed to the point that i want to just cancel my membership and go for private tutoring instead. This is so ridiculous! My freaking advanced Theory only lasts 2 years. I am not gonna wait till it runs out.
What is this?? A market balloting? A mad rush to book lessons? Hey, wait a minute, where am i living in.. Singapore?? Oh yah, that explains everything....

Recent most talked about topic Miss Singapore Universe came and gone. Oh well, it wasn't a very "enlightening" pageant though, many of those girls i know who could jolly well become tv eye candy did not have the confidence to join. Yeah, i know, Singapore's a paper chasing society, without a piece of paper, you can't go anywhere
But for the sake of national pride, all you chio babes please join the Miss Singapore Universe!! I know of one certain lady who after repeated pleas, still wouldn't join the pageant cause she didn't deem herself worthy enough. Please!
That's the whole story. Why can't they like be a bit more confident with their looks and go change the world's perspective of Singapore only having brainy girls and not hot babes!
Hey, no disrespect to those past winners, but then, when has a Singaporean ever made it into the semis? Long time ago i read, about 2 of them i think. Come on! Stand up for Singapore! I do admit, this year's winner Cheryl Tay had the hottest body in the pageant with her hot abs divided into 8 pieces and her long flowing hair, but i don't think she'd really stand out in terms of facial structure...
So here's a message to those babes out there. GO JOIN MISS SINGAPORE UNIVERSE AND MAKE US PROUD!
