First MAT1097 lesson Yup, today was my first lesson of the other module that i was taking. There were revision exercises for me to do, unfortunately i didn't do them. However, everything was kinda basic, so it felt like a refresher course for me instead of learning something new. Coincidently, i met an ex-colleague from BCS. When he came into the room, he did look vaguely familiar. It was only after the intro when he heard that i was from Temasek Poly and the lecturer mentioning if we ever seen each other, did we realise that hey, we were from the same company in fact. What a small world. Anyway, watching an episode of cold case. Its a series where cases that have been long closed get reopened again after new evidence resurface. Damn! the Crow:salvation is showing now. One of my favourite movie series. This is about a guy, whose girlfriend got killed, and he got framed for the murder. He got the death sentence, but came back as the Crow to seek revenge on the guy who truly murdered his GF. Still, the best one of the lot has got to be the first Crow movie. The one with Brandon Lee. It seems like the pure essence of the Crow character seemed edged onto the very being of Brandon, it seemed so much like they were meant for each other. The scene where he got shot and was crawling towards his murderers, if i'm not wrong, was real. He got hit by a projectile when the guns they were firing at him were suppose to be only firing blanks. Why do i feel like so interested in the Crow then? I don't know, maybe cause his indestructible, maybe i feel that, sometimes, the rules set by this world and society is never perfect, and somehow, justice will always be served, in whichever way possible, by anyone out there. Maybe i do feel have an inch of madness, anger, and vengeance that each Crow character possesses. Each had his loved one taken away from him, each had a system that failed them. Each had no one else around to make the wrong things right. Their love for their loss, so intense, it brought them back to seek to silence the cries of spilt blood.
