Last night, my love for the movie "Serendipity" kinda flamed back into life. Starring John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale, its about a chanced meeting between the two, a somewhat serendipity, a fortunate accident.

One wonders if such a thing ever happens in true life. But then, the movies are a mirror image into the true life. However, i lost a precious day for doing my assignment cause i got home late from class and was feeling so totally drained.

TOday seemed like another wasted day. Imagine, the mood you have on christmas eve. You don't even wanna touch your books. Its a time of celebration, so what the hell am i here, struggling to understand and do this stupid assignment. Gosh, it doesn't even look like an IT subject.
Christmas EVE my friend!! What are u doing home?????? WIshed i didn't have to take this subject in the first place, but as a core subject... what can i do? I have to finish it. Damn.

Watched a repeat telecast of Get Real too. About the invisible people of singapore. ABout the old folks, the uncles, and aunties, who go about their daily job of keeping singapore clean. My heart goes out to them cause at their age, they shouldn't be working, they should be resting at home, enjoying retirement, having fun with their grand children, going for strolls in the park. etc.

Yet i see them, cleaning the loo, clearing the rubbish, mopping up the mess the younger generation make. WHat is happening here...? THey have contributed enough already to make singapore what she is today. Their blood, sweat and tears have already been shed. Yet, they continue to labour on. Like the mothers who care for the home. Yet, how much do we really appreciate them?

Do we look upon their jobs as lowly? Certainly not! In fact, we should respect them for all that they have done, in the past and more so in the present moment. Who has the courage, the determination, to put effort into cleaning waste materials, bearing all sorts of smells and sights, to make our city a clean one. If you see a mop, next to some waste on the floor, would u be the civic minded person to clear it up? Of course not. Its not your job you say, leave it to the cleaners....

DO we give them the respect they deserve? In fact, i think they should be paid more then some people. Its a tough job, its a job that requires patience and tolerance from degrading remarks, looks and treatment of some so-called civilized singaporeans out there.

When do we learn that graciousness and care must be taught and practiced on each other to make life worth living? Its a jungle out there... a concrete jungle, and the only way we can survive in this jungle is by depending on each other. IN the words of Bobby Brown, "So don't be cruel, people we need to change our attitude. Oh no no oh no.. don't be cruel..."

Well, Just got back from a 3 hour episode with an ape... a gorilla to be exact, and its got a name

"My name is Kong, King... Kong. Blonde size 4 hot chick please.... Shaken, not stirred."

Feel a little sad for Naomi Watts, getting thrown here and there, squeezed in the hand of Mr Kong, amazing how the wind seemed to blow her hair and ITS hair in slightly different directions. Particularly loved it when the ape fought 3 freakin huge T-Rex's like some action packed jackie chan film.
You'd imagine, with jaws that can crush bones, why isn't Kongy's arms broken?

What irked me about the story though was some crew members getting eaten up by worms... EEkkk yuck. its jaws just wrapping round the head of a guy. Where the hell were all the worms and cockroaches when the men were unconscious? WHy did they have to pop out only when the people woke up? Hmm... wouldn't be so exciting to see insects eating the men when their down right? NOt enough action... yeah....

Strange too.. that the ship's crew were kinda, not "straight". I mean, with a hot chick like that on board their ship, how come the crew members were like, not excited?? Haha.. not speaking here as one desperado, but i mean, men who have been away to sea for long periods of time with only other sailors as companions ain't always a pleasant thought...

Wondering too, why Kong didn't eat Naomi in the first place. There were like so much bones of other former native beauty contestants, but Naomi gets to tickle Kong's nostrils? I say, eat the little girl... i mean, she can't be a mother to your children mr Kong.. so why bother?? haha.. =P yea i sound sick over here.. but its pure animal instincts showing.

OH well, overall the movie scores big on special effects. Kudos to the fella dressed in Kong's suite. Can't climb the empire state building like he can. GUess that's a real chick pleaser..haha...

Its been a long time since i last attended church, mainly cause of excuses like lazy, school, or work...

Maybe a little more on the lines of laziness i think. ANyway, last sunday, i did turn up for church. Had an excuse actually not to go, but then, i missed church for like 2-3 months? Feeling guilty, need to rid myself of it. Met up with Uncle Tommy and YongShi at the end of the line. Fortunately we were able to get seats.

It must either be me not going to church for so long, or that the anointing in the hall was really good, cause throughout the whole service, i didn't exactly feel sleepy or slept. I felt like i had lost so many secrets of the bible for all those weeks that i missed church.. All i did was doze for like 5 seconds and i continued listening to the whole sermon. There was a period when the pastor had a revelation that there was someone in the hall with a pain in the belly... and the Holy Spirit telling him to tell that person that it'd go away.

Well, i wasn't sure if it was for me, but i just claimed it. Claimed the revelation for my own pain. I had problems with my digestive system. Always at the times of 4 to 6 p.m, i'd have pains in my tummy, maybe due to excessive gastric juices that caused lots of discomfort and problems. Sometimes, the pain would go on till night, until i took my dinner. Even then, after dinner, sometimes the pain would stay there...

However, i claimed that revelation.. and lo and behold. Halfway throught the service, the pain was gone. It didn't stop there... Monday and today, i didn't feel the pain or discomfort. Even though there was a little gas, it wasn't as bad as last week, or the weeks before.

For this i give God the glory, for healing me. Had this symptom for almost 1 - 2 years... and no specialist could totally cure me. Thank God He did.

Computer Organization sucks..

Yup.. you heard me right, all those calculations about processor performance and speed, clock rates, and MPIS language... alamak.. so chim.

Add to that fact, my lecturer is an indian with quite a thick accent, makes learning all the more interesting. No hard feelings, i mean all races are made equal, like they say, all men are brothers, but then, in this case, its a little hard to comprehend a brother who talks a little different.

I remembered the times when i was in poly and had 2 exchange students from Indian come attached to our lab. Shucks, after the whole episode, i realise i always talked with them with my head in a slight dancing motion.

Wow, the power in influence... Maybe i'm just a little too easily influenced thats all, but the way they talk seems so rhythmic. Haha.. i even learned how to drink from the tap from one of them.. the civilised way, not like my Ah beng way of just dropping the mouth below the tap. hahahaaa.

But i'm a little apprehensive of getting a lecturer with a strong accent. Argh.. its so hard to understand. Gotta depend on myself, as usual. Hmm

Hamusa decided today that he wanted to get a 10 bucks haircut from this salon i patronized. 10 bucks with a cut and wash! Imagine that?! THATS SO DAMN CHEAP! Not like Peter Pan who had a 135 dollar haircut which made him look a little nerdier, but a lot more smarter looking then his previous hairdo. Freaking IDIOTO hasn't called yet. Maybe he shouldn't, its been 3 lessons already and i haven't even started on my first tutorial yet. Still waiting to go for my driving revision later at 4. Shucks.

Tommy Boy just came back from the 'holiday chalet'. Looked blur as usual, even more actually when i saw him last night at Cuppage Terrace. Had a karaoke event yesterday and that blur C**K looked like he just awoke from a coma. Didn't sing but played his Portable Sony Playstation. Is that the only game you got?

Thinking of going to get my headset repaired. It could pair with my phone, just that no transmission of data from headset to phone occurred. Oh well, thats for trying to play with technology by connecting it to my computer and listening to music on my bluetooth headset, i think i scrambled the software inside it. Argh.... As usual, like in the past, i'm always playing with the latest gadgets, pushing them to their limits, getting them screwed up. I should be in quality control, then all the latest shit won't come out till maybe 3 4 years down the road cause i'd have exhausted all avenues to technical problems.. hahahaha.

Hmm wondering what Kenerain is doing right now in Hong Kong. Golf eh? Yeah me wanna play golf too. putting balls in holes is already so difficult, using a stick to put balls in holes, even more so.. haha. Kinky .. hahhahaahaha.
