War of the Worlds

Had a very interesting email today.
wELL The story started off like this.. i had to go on MC yesterday cause of a lousy case of flu, fever, runny nose and what nots. Hell, i went to work thinking i could fight it through, but as everyone knows, without sufficient rest, the body cannot withstand the onslaught of bacteria. Oh well, so be it. I went to the docs in the late morning after doing a few troubleshooting cause my body was breaking down with every second.

Got 2 days MC!!! 2 Days!!!!
Doc Kev was real kind. He could see that i was a raving lunatic who drank a deadly cocktail mixture of work and study. He told me.. these 3 days were really crucial. Its either u rest for at least 7 to 8 hours a day... Or you'd be sick for a month.

A month?? HOO HOOO MC for a month!!!! Crapz i didn't think like that!!

Went back to the boss to tell him i had mc for 2 days. Unfortunately, this week was kinda stressful. 2 guys were off duty cause of exams. Leaving only 2 of us, me included in the 2.

Ok.. so i'd make the ultimate sacrifice, i'd come back the next day, and come back i did.. and boy was i BUSY!!

Anyway, here's the point. The secretary was like, in the HR system, i had indicated that i took half a day MC, and sacrificed my rest of another day by coming back! SHe shot an email asking me why my boss indicated that the mc was only for 1 day and why i had updated the system as half day. My boss emailed her back, telling her the situation and that he changed his comment and returned another mail saying that i took half instead of 1. I shot her a mail too telling her the situation.

Yet she stubbornly replied back. "BUt its in ink on the MC as indicated by ur boss that u took 1 day but u updated the system with half day!?" What the hell!? Are u saying that emails from my boss and i, Boh Pake? ( In other words, email no use?) I had 2 instances when the same situation of me taking half day MCs taht passed without any commotion and now U wanna challenge the system?

Wanted to retort back and tell her.. "EXQuze mua Biatch! THe doctor used a date chop to print the date.. What do u want, print the date then put a dash and a 2 underneath to indicate half day?!?" Even the grand boss never say anything.. u wanna challenge my boss and me to a war of emails?

SHucks!
SOme biatches don't learn, like they say, u can't teach old dogs new tricks... and sometimes, they got too much free time on their paws, cause there ain't no more fleas to scratch off...

HAHA

TOday was the first time since a long long time that i have laughed loudly at something really really funny.

Well, i was watchin "Just for Laughs" THey had this gag about a water cooler. A man would be stationed in the shopping centre and offer a cup of cool mineral water to passer-bys to try out the tasteful new flavour. After he pours them the water, in the midst of them drinkin, he would remove the water-cooler's cover revealing a bottle which contained various fishes swimming inside. THere's a huge eel that stares at the drinker when the cover is removed, a few lion fishes too.. truly an exotic bunch. What's more, the water had particles floating inside, which kinda looked like fish shit.

Man, that was the most heartiest laugh i had when i saw the faces of the drinkers. Never laughed so hard in a long time. Anyway, they weren't actually drinking that aquarium water cause without the cooler attached, pure drinking water was still flowing through the tap.

Words, can't describe how funny that gag was. You have to see it for yourself. Coulieo signing off.

What the..

Today cannot be called "Monday Blues", It should be called "monday black".

Had a user who told me that all her August mail had disappeared mysteriously. Shucks, there ain't nothing mysterious about computers. Everything has a logical and rational explanation. Of course i didn't say anything about it, but promised that i would help her restore her oldest backup to date for the week.

That was on Wed. On Fri when i went back to help her do her restoration, Her August mails weren't around.. Ok, i'd get the oldest backup for the current set. Today, i tried to restore it. No good, the August mails weren't around.

However, she blamed me, blamed our database backup structure, saying that we should keep months and months of data, which was practically illogical because of the huge amount of emails circulated each day. She even asked me to explain how this could happen. Bluddy hell, i wanted to splash water in her face there and then.

Usually, when i go to their department, i'm like the jovial guy, the kinda fella that doesn't seem to be bogged down by problems. Always a smile on my face. But once i encountered such a situation. Everybody could sense a burning fire rising in me. THings weren't looking too rosy. Once i get blamed for something that wasn't my fault. Look out.

In fact i shot her back. Saying that she might have accidentally deleted the mails without checking if her mails were backed up properly. She moved November's mails but might have mistakened that August's mails were backed up as well and deleted all of August's mails.

I went off without a smile on my face which i would usually have after i leave that department. Everybody could sense the tension.

I'm suppose to finish up my assignment, but shit, i need to get this off my chest. I hate the blame game. I hate being accused of something that i did not do. Thats me. Nobody likes it, but i abhor it like a curse that drives a knife through my bones.

Thats what you get when you provide extra services for somebody. SHouldn't have helped to upgrade her programs nor should i have done house-keeping for her. She has just bitten the hand that feeds. Good luck, your gonna need it..
