Really don't know what to say, here is a chance to learn Oracle Database with AIX Unix, but i'm gonna give it all up cause i don't have the time to learn. Everyday, i have barely half an hour to sit down and look through all the scripts that they have.

I don't know shell scripting. I don't know what the hell each syntax means. I don't have the time to do self studying in it cause i gotta do school assignments. I don't have the time cause helpdesks just either keep popping up, or calling in, or beckoning to.

I'd rather score well in my degree then screw it all up in something that i'm not exactly interested in. I've seen what my colleague has to do. Sitting there all day, staring at the PC, shit, that ain't for me. I can't just sit at one place and stare and stare. That sucks. I need some movement. I know myself, i'd sleep within half and hour. Staring at scripts, will make me go green like the Hulk.

Don't like how DA does human resource management. Wants everybody to know everything, but with all the crap thats been dropping down on me, how am i gonna learn? 50% DB, 50%helpdesk... even AZ told me that it ain't possible cause its a very specialized field, truly impossible to learn. SiFu told me its impossible to even do that, as for EG, his been in this line for almost 9 months and his been taught only 25%.

Its so unrealistic. If he wants me to do DB, then set me to do it full scale so i can learn and practice. I didn't even have time to contribute to DMS, how would he expect me to do DB too?
I'm pissed. Even SiFu knows that there isn't any progress going on with me. So, what i'm gonna do is tell DA that i don't wanna do it. I don't wanna take over the database for DMS. I don't wanna do something that i don't enjoy. I don't wanna spend the rest of my life staring at a screen.

I wanna do something that helps me to use my hands. I want to do something that involves systems. I wanna do something like what AZ, Tim, LK, and KC are doing. I wanna be a SA, not a DBA. Even though DBA's get more, what's the point if i don't enjoy what i do? I'm already good at setting up, and solving other people's problems, and i want to extend that skill to the server end.

So, i have to do what i have to do, and pray that its the right decision for my life. Oh yeah, by the way, finally the group picture for the Kelisa Club is out... =)

Should i use this desktop... or this desktop...

9:53 PM

Today was one of the major meetups for the Kelisa Club. Met up with Zoolander84 first at tampines grande road, one of the few tampinesians of the club, then proceeded on to make our way down to the carpark at the Indoor Stadium.

While we were entering the PIE, both of us were on the right lane. Didn't notice what happened to Zoolander but i knew something almost went wrong. I saw him changing lanes to the left, but somehow he had to switch back cause of some pickup. I wanted to change lanes to the left too, but all of a sudden, some sickening car was speeding in the left lane and horned loudly. Left lane, go slow.. when did you pick up your license from, the LongKang?

Anyway, Zoolander was a few cars in front of me so i had to kinda pick up a little to catch up. While on the expressway, another incident happened. Whilst i was trying to change lane to the left to exit Paya Lebar, suddenly, the car in front of me went SUPER SLOW and stopped. I was checking my left lane and fortunately for me as my eyes darted to the front, i saw the stupid car stationary. I had to freaking jam break and missed banging the car by inches. Thank God for brakes.

This wasn't the first instance that the car in front of me had suddenly gone SUPER slow. Yesterday was another case. I was sending my mother to church, on the TPE, trying to change lanes to the right lane which was going to the ECP city. Some LADY driver on my right was going real slow, but i let her pass cause she was trying to get into my lane. While i was checking my right mirror to change to the right lane, suddenly she also went REAL SLOW and stopped. I had to take evasive action, jammed the brakes and swerve to the right, missing her narrowly. If there had been cars on my right, i wouldn't want to imagine the consequences.

Expressway, excuse is supposed to be express!!!! Why the hell are you stoppingso suddenly!!?? I hate to admit it but there are a few personalities that i kinda don't like to encounter whilst on the road. Ah bengs who drive cars so fast they think its their father's roads, Aunties who think their husbands own the roads, and taxi drivers who think their old enough for it to become their roads. Come on, everybody pays their road taxes. DON't think ur money is so big! I also pay my taxes!!!!!!

Anyway, the Kelisa meet was ok. Murphy told me that i had to cut my air scoop cause it was cutting the air box.. and boy, was it really melting it away. Saw Aim's Fenders. SUPER NICE!
Zoolander84 also painted his interior a cool blue. DAMN COOL.....

Anyway, here's a sticker that solidifies my place in the Kelisa club....
